Our 2017 Team participated in iGEM 2017 competition in Boston and won the Best New Applications award with their project "Hekcite".
Our 2019 team came up with an innovative way to combat plastic pollution using cyanobacteria. We won the silver medal at the Giant Jamboree at Boston
The 2015 team designed a system to create complex patterns of bacteria on agar plates. They won the gold medal and were runners-up for the Best New Applications Award.
The 2013 team, created an ecological insecticide-free aphid controlling mechanism, which mimics natural signalling systems used by both plants and insects.
And the ones before
KU Leuven has been participating in iGEM since 2008. And we certainly hope to carry on the tradition in the years to come.
